Serie A Milan's Resurgence

Updated: Dec 26, 2020

AC Milan, one of the greatest names in world football known for their exploits in Italian football and in Europe. The fallen giants have failed to live up to their name and fame in recent years. Poor performances in the last decade have left them without a trophy for over nine years.

However, with the arrival of Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season, Milan have looked a much better side qualifying for the Europa League. His charismatic character has instilled confidence and enthusiasm among the players who are pushing for a serious title challenge. Currently Milan sit on top of the Serie A table after nine games and are on an unbeaten run.

They travel to Genoa this weekend to face off against Sampdoria who is 11th in the league. Sampdoria will be looking to get back to winning ways after the

draw against Torino last weekend. Milan however will look to brush them aside and extend their run of games to 5 and extend the gap between 1st and 2nd. Can Milan extend their winning run and prove to challenge for the Scudetto and dethrone

Only time will tell as we move into the weekend.
