CARROT HALWA

INGREDIENTS

  • Carrot 500gms

  • Milk 500ml

  • Sugar ½ cup

  • Ghee 3 tablespoon

  • Dry fruits like raisins, almonds, and cashews

  • Milkmaid 200gms

  • 2 pinches of cardamom powder

METHOD OF MAKE IT:


  • Take 500gm of carrot. Wash, peel them and grate them.

  • In a pan, add 3 tbsp of ghee.

  • Once the ghee is hot, add 8-10 raisins and fry them until they swell up and take them off.

  • Add 4 almonds and 4 cashews and fry them until light brown and remove them.

  • To this ghee, add the grated carrot.

  • Keep stirring until the moisture is gone.

  • To this add ½ cup sugar and mix well until the sugar is melted properly.

  • Now add 200gm of milkmaid , 500 ml of milk and mix well .

  • Keep stirring until the entire milk reduces.

  • Once done, add 2 pinches of cardamom powder and mix well.

  • Turn off the gas.

  • Chop the almonds and cashews in small pieces and add fried raisins and mix well, and serve hot or cold and also with ice-cream
